On this song, I'm playing a Realistic MG-1 that glitches out from time to time (I've since fixed it). I sort of tried to work the occasional keyboard into songs every now and then for the entire time we were together, but it was difficult because our writing style was based so much on improvising, reacting to each other, and going with ideas really quickly whenever they hit us, and I'm simply not a very good keyboard player, so I couldn't keep up. Also I had a lot of trouble finding/programming the right synthesizer patches without the other guys taking off in a new direction while I struggle to sync oscillators or whatever. I started with a Novation K-Station, but there was too much menu-diving to go through, which slowed me way down. The Realistic MG-1 was much more appropriate, but as you can hear on this recording it was kind of fidgety. I eventually ended up with an Alesis Micron, which you can hear on "Don't Laugh At Me" on our split with Night Rally. I still use that synth all the time.
